Clutch Wanted INPUTS please

I'm looking at replacing my Fcatory clutch and was looking around. Unlike my DSM where almost all the clutches were pretty similar in price the EVO has a very broad range of clutches ( price wise )

Can any of you guys and especially vendors provide inputs on a specific clutch and flywheel combo.

Thanks for your time.

you neeed to give more info, are you setting the car up for drag, road course racing, or everyday street use and you don't want to have to worry about the ****ty stock evo clutch. This information will make a huge difference in the quest for you to find the most appropriate clutch for your desired application.

Good point,

I'm looking at running about 400 HP on a daily driver. Not looking to drag race etc, but I do expect to drive it hard. I may try my hand at an Auto X or a road course but not on a consistent basis.

i think that i might go with the no-name clutch from RRE. It looks like stock but can hold more power. i figure i havent been having good luck with the t-cases so if i dont want to have problems with the dealership covering under warranty i am going to go this route.

I am also in the market for a new clutch soon. I have talked to a number of the evo vendors, many of which carry multiple brands, I have told them price is no object and to please give me an unbiased opinion, almost everyone of them has told me either Exedy or Cusco twin disk. Both of these clutches are made by Exedy but the Cusco unit has a carbon/carbon face which will last significantly longer driving conditions being the same, it also holds up to the heat buildup caused by slipping the clutch while racing. This is the unit I will most likely be ordering.
