safe boost level for c16?

ok so i live in alabama, and the huntsville guys are calling out the birmingham guys for some races at the drag strip. Last time i went to the bhamracing Vs. hsvracing shootout i had my tiburon and ran 14.1 but still got hammered by a few people. This time id like to surprise those guys with my evo, and i want to get the most out of it. i've already installed my boost gauge, and next will come the turboxs boost controller and then a dynoflash. I want to know with all that what would be a safe level of boost for me to run with C-16 (116 octane)? It will more than likely be about 80F that day. Id like to see more than 22 lbs. Should i get a stage colder plugs, or what?

would it benefit me a lot to get a muffler delete pipe?

i think 30psi should be OK if the engine has the ARP headbolts installed

If you dont have an exhaust, drop the stock one of at the track, it will help alot.

c16 is leaded so you better take off your cat and its going to screw up your 02 sensor if you use it enough.

Wow. No serious reponses

Your setup is going to determine your boost. Your going to need someone to tune your car to take advantage of the higher octane. You can increase your timing and have a leaner tune. Although, the stock turbo tends to get jumpy around 24psi, and probably won't hold, nor be efficient at anything more. So, get someone to tune to make the most of that 24psi. But, you need some sort of datalogging device and tuning aparatus to find out how far you can push it. Your probably more limited on your Turbo than anything. Not to mention, 30psi is a bit high for the stock rods.

So, get reflashed, re-tuned, or you could cheaply buy a SAFC & Pocketlogger.
