this may help clarify what you are looking at in the picture. This should hold the head and the gasket a teensey weensey bit better.

Money wise, or time wise? Actually the studs are really not much more than the std ARP studs for the EVO head. The only catch is that the motor has to be apart to do the mod. The head has to be opened up to fit the studs, the head gasket has to be opened up to fit the studs, and the block has to be dialed in, drilled, counterbored and tapped to fit the studs and insure that they are straight and that everything will line up when it comes time to put it back together. Ohterwise it looks like a porcupine. I also spot faced and dropped the head nut washer seats to make sure that there was 100% surface contact. There is no way to safely do this type of work with the motor in the car, you cant risk having the iron chips getting down in the engine. and the head must be off. I just was sharing with you guys what I was doing. Not saying that this is necessary for everyone. But if you are running big loads, this will certainly help. Bottom line, if you spit the head off or the gasket out with those pulled up tight, then I dont know what to tell you.

I would need to know the length of the original studs or bolts you have in your engine. If any different, they can always be made.

yeah sure! I can either take a photo of it and give you the measurements or i can send you the actual head bolt and you can get the exact measurements off it.

Will they be ARP ones? or will they be as strong as ARP ones? head bolts or head studs?

let me know.

thanks
