Sparkplug gap differences
First thing I did when I got mine was pull the plugs and regapped to .026. This made a high rpm misfire go away completely. Car idles smooth and pulls strong to redline. BTW all 4 were at different gap .026-.030
My experience with my stage 3 1.8T VW was that even with with individual coil packs a gap of .031 was too large for 20psi and caused ramdom multiple misfires. The min spec of .028 made the misfires go away, idle was smoother, and cold start back fires went away.
Evos have only 2 coil packs which I presume have less discharge capabilities than VW's
