Irridium plugs available around the corner...
Found out that our plugs are used in a number of motorcycles and atv's:
http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_fitment.asp?pid=IW24
I called and sure enough, the local honda motorcycle dealer has them in stock for 14 bucks each in 3 different heat ranges. Beats $150 from the mitsu stealership!
Going to try one range cooler than stock and stock and do some logs on the aem ems to measure
knock to see if I can run more timing with the cooler plugs...
You will need to gap them correctly to .025-.030 with less gap if you are running higher boost. Be really careful not to touch the irridium tip as it will break!
Anyway, here are the part numbers:
(Stock) heat range 7 = Denso IW22, HKS S35G, NGK-iridium NA
Heat range 8 = Denso IW24, HKS S40G, NGK BR8 EIX
Heat range 9 = Denso IW27, HKS S45G, NGK BR9 EIX
Just call around to local motorcycle/jet ski/ atv shops if you want some without the hassle of waiting through the mail.

I just ordered plugs from HPFreaks and they had to find out which ones were right for the Evo becouse sparkplugs.com does not recognize any plug for our vehicle. So after they did research they said the part number was Denso IK24 which is what i ordered. They are supposed to be 2 steps colder. So i dont know if the IW24 you talk about is just the normal plugs or if one of us has the wrong part number.
Here is a link from z-1- it is iw24... Sorry for the bad news

They have a fair price too...

Someone gave me this link which is 60% CHEAPER!! 6.95 per irridium plug...
http://ngk.com/results_cross.asp?pid=BR8+EIX+&x=19&y=10
At that price, you can change all 4 of your plugs for 1/4 the price the dealership wants to sell you for just one.
