Put fuel pump in, but they sent me the wrong install kit
I got my Walbro 255Hp 342 installed . Had gas shoot out one of the hoses, even after releasing the pressure on them.
Its all good though. I did get the wrong install kit sent with my pump though, so I was only able to use the pump. I had to reuse the stock filter and retainer peice to hold it on, as well as using the stock rubber peice on the bottom of that. Any reason this will cause any problems??

The stock filter needs to be used and stock rubber peice. To be honest the kit is not needed.
You're best to reuse the factory filter anyway.
If you want to avoid the gas splashing in the future run the car till it dies, then turn it over three or four more times. One time is not enought to clear the line. Let it start, stumble, and dir four times and the lines will be clear; and won't damage the car.

awesome...I did let the car idle until it died. But i did not crank it anymore after that. I did go back and do that before i pulled the second line, and nothing happened. So yeah, we learn by our mistakes.
The kit is a waste unless there is damage, or a lot of miles... I installed a GS342 from an Acura Integra (you can find them much cheaper than Evo specific kits) with all the OE hardware.
