Just got an email from my first customer to get an Essex turbo ball bearing/titanium conversion:
"Hi Brian,

I finally got my car back late last week, with the new turbo in.
3 letters: OMG !!!!!!!! Just revving past 1.5K RPM and the blowoff valve is
already releasing some air, indicating the turbo is spooling !!
The car just goes man .... like an N/A car. Unbelievable.

Tomorrow, my tuner is coming in to install my GEMS ECU (like the AEM one),
and map the car.

Cannot wait to see how everything is going to turn out.

Karl"

I am interested in a ball-bearing and titanium conversion! How much does it cost? What is the turn around time? Do you sell the turbo already converted or do I have to send in mine? Do you offer any kind of warranty? Is the conversion done here in the States? Is this the 9.8t core?

PM me my children. It's not expensive but it's not cheap you don't have to send in your turbo, but you can't really have a steel unit converted to Ti- I sell complete ti units converted to BB and want to buy your old turbo. WORD.

Just "buying" them as a core for the BB conversions

So you sell them outright and then I can turn my old one in for a "core charge" kinda deal? How much???

I have to admit that when I saw this thread I got very excited. A ball bearing converted titanium turbo is what my EVO needs! Maybe you could arrange some kind of group buy and get the price down to around $1200?

I think they would be the SHlT for a street car... just cost prohibitive since they are almost the cost of a kit... However, on a 10.5 housing, you could easily break 400whp...

man, there is no way that the price is going to drop $500 on a group buy, that's just not possible. You'd have to get fifty people in on it, and I don't have 50 ti units! This is a very very limited offer as the number of ti units are limited at this price. Again, the normal price of this is $3000. I'm only able to offer a discount PERSONALLY because I can get the units themselves at a discount. I'm not sure if you have looked around, most web stores want over $2000 just for a ti unit. BUT I am down for a trade.....
