These are the 1st mods that I plan on ordering for my car. If somebody would like to recommend a different course of action, I openly welcome your advice:

1. Helix 3" turbo back, to include O2 housing, and cat delete pipe
2. HKS Racing Suction Intake
3. AMS intercooler
4. Full AL piping for IC
5. Walbro Fuel Pump
6. ATP fuel rail
7. bigger injectors (700ish cc's)
8. Some type of ECU flash
9. Possibly some cams...probably 262's, but maybe 272's
10. Cam gears

Do these mods make any sense? I had a highly modified WRX, but I am new to the EVO world, and down here in Lower Alabama, I really don't have any tuner to turn to.

Your suggestions are solicited.

from what I found out cam gears are a waste of money atleast from word of mouth from AL(dynoflash) and Dan (pruven) just passing the word on nice list though

I'd say get a boost controller/gauge along with perhaps a bov. I installed my exhaust and MBC and DAMN! did it make a difference.

 

I hope you get a custome flash those are very big injectors for your mods you have posted. I have had very good fortune with the stock injectors with similar mods and a DYNOFLASH.

 

Hey, I am all about saving money...thank you...I'll scratch the cam gears

 

I forgot to list the MBC...I plan on getting the halman. So I shouldn't neet injectors...I am probably going to need to go with a through the mail flash. I am not too fond of Vishnu, or his business practices from the Suby world, and I am hearing good things about Dynoflash. I am leaning toward the outspoken Al.

 

I HAve a HKS RS intake kit for sale if interisted PM me.....It works great with the stock turbo.

 

also you dont need a fuel rail right now the stock one is fine for 450+

what kind of cams were you things about HKS tomei jun piper you may need valve springs
you need a bc (boost controller) man. $70-100 elec. $300-600
also if you plan on runnig any thing more than 21psi of boost I recommend head studs
and start thinking about a clutch the stock clutch doesn't last to long

Hey are injectors needed if you get all BPU's and big cams? Liek 660's???

 

I have heard the same thing about the cam gears from the people at my local dyno that have dynoed lots of evos. Now if that is true I will only tell wh en I dyno and see if I end up at 0.
