getting service done..
getting service done..
ok i have a question..i dont have that many mods..all i have is a forge DV, a high flow filter and an mbc...but I feel like if i take it to mitsu to get my 7500 mile service and whatever other ones are required and oil changes..they will freak out and void my warranty..what options do I have? can i take it to a regular shop to get the services done? will the work still be as good? will mitsu void my warranty because I haven't gone to get my services from them? i want to keep the value of my car up as much as possible by getting all my required maintenance done to it..but i dont want my warranty to get voided..plus before I put a catback exhaust on..i want to make sure I know where to go for services..thanks guys
First of all, what makes you think that the dealership will do a better job than an outside shop? As experienced by many here, it appears many dealership don't know sh*t about the EVO. Secondly, having a mbc will most likely void your warranty by most dealership. Unless you can find a mod friendly dealership, the mbc will most likely do it. If I were you and you already decided that you won't/can't do it yourself, ,I'll take it to a reputable shop to have it done. It will most likely be better and cheaper.

If you have proof that you have had service done, by yourself, dealership or any shop, your warranty is still there. Just make sure you have the receipts if you were to do it yourself or by another shop other than the dealership. Your warranty is not void just because you didn't do your maintenance by the dealership. This is true.
