getting service done..

ok i have a question..i dont have that many mods..all i have is a forge DV, a high flow filter and an mbc...but I feel like if i take it to mitsu to get my 7500 mile service and whatever other ones are required and oil changes..they will freak out and void my warranty..what options do I have? can i take it to a regular shop to get the services done? will the work still be as good? will mitsu void my warranty because I haven't gone to get my services from them? i want to keep the value of my car up as much as possible by getting all my required maintenance done to it..but i dont want my warranty to get voided..plus before I put a catback exhaust on..i want to make sure I know where to go for services..thanks guys

First of all, what makes you think that the dealership will do a better job than an outside shop? As experienced by many here, it appears many dealership don't know sh*t about the EVO. Secondly, having a mbc will most likely void your warranty by most dealership. Unless you can find a mod friendly dealership, the mbc will most likely do it. If I were you and you already decided that you won't/can't do it yourself, ,I'll take it to a reputable shop to have it done. It will most likely be better and cheaper.

lol first of all i know an MBC will void my warranty that why i'm asking if I can take it to an outside shop without voiding my warranty by doing so..(if i had a huge problem not MBC related i would take my MBC out in 10 minutes and get the warranty work done..) but anyways..my stepfather, father and brother are all mechanics but doing work on this car to keep its value up requires paperwork that the work was done am I correct, so i could have them do it but pay for it anyways..just want to make sure that it's not gonna mess up my warranty by not going to the dealership...and as someone who's grown up around mechanics...dealerships are usually under pretty strict watch (unless they're corrupt) and dont joyride the **** out of cars..my brother, father and stepfather have all told me stories about how they beat the **** out of any nice car that comes in and have seen other mechanics do even worse..so I NEVER trust an outside shop unless the work is done by one of them..I dont think they'd do a better job with serious mechanical work at the dealership..but I don't see a need for them to do my regular maintenance if I dont have to go there to get it done and still keep my warranty in tact..

I've got full exhaust, intake, MBC and fuel pump. I've had 3 recalls and many oil changes and whatnot, they have not once mentioned anything about the parts.

If you have proof that you have had service done, by yourself, dealership or any shop, your warranty is still there. Just make sure you have the receipts if you were to do it yourself or by another shop other than the dealership. Your warranty is not void just because you didn't do your maintenance by the dealership. This is true.

I'm not even going to start anything, if they haven't said anything then i'm not worried. They've done 3 recalls on my car and they just ordered me a brand new wing and whole new dash and center console because mine started to get black junk all over it. So I think it's still working...
