Is there really any reason to repond to anything you just said? My point is made and I have nothing further. The parts that made sense require no response. Good luck and enjoy your Evo.

An ECU Flash is a discreet and great mod to think of. Nothing "physical" that the dealer can see.

I think someone needs some "Depends"

You are a big boy Im sure. Just clench your teeth together and listen to what Mitsubishi has to say. If they lecture you....so be it. The calmer you are with them, the better they will treat you. It kind of makes me wonder what you do in the business world. Lectures are a thing to expect of the future as long as you want to move up in this world. Get over it.

"stop making it harder for the honest people and stop making it more expensive for everyone. What Mitsubishi expects out of its customers is not unreasonable and are simply measures to prevent them from fixing your mistakes. A warranty is to fix THEIR mistakes. Thanks, buddy." .... Texasevo

I quit going to the dealer after the 2nd time of waiting almost 2 hours for an oil change (with an appointment).

I try to put myself in their shoes.. Pretend you sell cars and you also service them. Would you service a car under warrenty that has a lot of mods that god knows who installed what?

It's not real hard to keep logs of what you do. Just write the date/milage and save a receipt. It's well worth it at least with oil changes. You spend half the money and in my case a quarter of the time.

BTW: the guys at the service dept were always nice to me and seemed pretty cool. They replaced my power steering pump when it failed no questions asked.

You asked for it. If I ask for someone to slap my face I won't be mad if they do. I consider myself smart enough to not make that request. BTW, if you want to quote me, try using my name. Things like that make it hard to get respect.

What are you talking about??? First you said " what if I up the boost over rev to 9k and blow up my motor" , will they still honor my warranty YO" . and now you are saying something completely different. Honestly your intentions seem shady at best.

Question pertaining to the Waranty ...... im sure it is but it is divided into specific sections correct ... so if i put on a BoV or MBC ... dealer sees it ..... everything under hood is now my responsibility ? or just the engine / drivetrain ?

It really depends on the dealer.. It never hurts to ask them what the honor and what they deny. A MBC could create more stress on the drivetrain with the added power.

Sorry if I came off harsh earlier, but it seems like you already know what the deal is. If you have a MBC and your seatbelt starts malfunctioning, I doubt they will void your warranty on your seatbelt. But anything engine/drivetrain related, they could technically, or at least try. Even at my local dealership which is somewhat mod friendly, a MBC automatically voids engine/drivetrain warranty. My local dealership basically said all I can do is a drop in filter and catback...so that is what I stick with.

....

hehe should have been more clear with what my question was =)

what about like if my AC stops working and i have engine mods or what about coolant items ... radiator or even Intercooler... would my warranty on such items be voided for adding more HP. Or are they pretty straight about that kinda stuff. Also what about differentials and suspension warrantys with more HP...... once again just wanna see what im in for. thanks for input
