No turbo timer = ticket in florida?

hey yall i was wondering if anyone else had heard this. i was getting back into my car that i left running because I had been getting on it hard and i dont have a turbo timer. well anyway there was a cop standing there and he told mee that he could give me a ticket for leaving my car running with the key in it. has anyone ever heard of this. i do it all the time and have never had any problems. i dont know if the cop was trying to be a dick because of they way my car looked or how loud it idles?

any thoughts? did i get a line of BS from a power hungry cop?

chris

I wouldn't think so unless he thought someone could take off with your car and you could be at fault? Get a TT then you don't have to worry about it.

I know we're not allowed to do that up here in Ma. I think it originated for some kind of child safety act, so they could not accidentally do something in the car, but either way I know its not allowed. How much it is enforced I have no idea.
Can you lock the car with yor second key, leaving the first key in the ingnition with the car running?

turbo timer

I live here in Miami and I think it you should just get the timer installed and that way you get out and the car will run automatically to how hard you were driving.I have the HKS Turbo Timer ll.

The title of this thread is back-a$$wards.

Even though every instinct inside of you wants to argue with the guy, when police officers say things like that just get real wide eyed like a 2 year old who just saw the garbage man come for the first time. Act like he just gave you some really great info. He'll feel better. You won't be bothered anymore.

But in the end it can make your turbo last longer.

no because you cant just sit in your car and let the oil change it self. if i just sit in the
car for 30 seconds or so after i park that is the same thing as a turbo timer is it not?

i have nothing against turbo timers they are a good product i would just rather not
spend the money on it right now there are to many things out there i want.

Steiner, how is the title back words.
