top of 3rd jolt

Had the battery disconnected for 2 days due to getting some work done. After I hooked it back up I took it for a ride. First 3rd gear pull- at about 5500 rpms car jolted and like shut off for half a sec. then continued as normal. Did it once again after. Brough it back to my house and let it run for like 10-15 min. Took it for another ride and it didnt do it twice in a row. Went out half an hour ago did it first time, didnt do it second time. Would this have anything to do with the ecu resetting itself?

BTW the car is bone stock.

Sounds like it could be boost cut.
EDIT: Just saw that it was stock. Did you let it idle for 5-10 min. after you started it up the first time? Have you checked all the electrical connections?

Check you DV valve. I had this same problem a while back. It ended up being that the DV valve housing had cracked. It started off every once and awhile and then became more consistant until I located the problem.

Just got back. Took the car for a ride again, top of third gear it jolted the hardest it had so far, and the service engine soon light lit up. I just got the car back from the body shop, got a new front mount, radiator, and a couple other parts replaced. What could this be? thanks

Go to an auto parts store. Most will read them for free.

What mods do you have to the car? It could be fuel or boost cut as mentioned earlier.

I was reading someother threads and came to somewhat of a conclusion of what it could be. p0300 misfire, because from what i read it said that if the car has been sitting for a while( 2 1/2 weeks) it is a possibility. Plus on how they explained the car jolting/sputtering, sounds alot like what I was expeirencing. Any body think this is a possibility? thanks
