Job done Androoos and all, This site has done it's job in convincing me that I have been in error in my actions. I asked a question and you guys have replied fittingly after review and I have listened. That is what these news groups are all about.

Glad to hear you'll plan on reforming your refueling practices.

The Rebel comment was in jest and meant to add levity to the post.

Yes, and thank you for listening to us. We're totally cool. No hate.
The reasoning behind my tirades is because too many times people come onto these boards, make a similar post or convey similar ideas or reasoning, and they absolutely refuse to back down, admit they were wrong, or apologize, no matter how stupid they were made to sound or feel. I'm glad you're the exception to that. If only everyone were that way. But, also in your defense, EvoM post-ers can be a tough crowd sometimes.
And, now when you shut your car off, and after refueling, if you start it up and THEN it sputters, then you may have to get it looked at. But it's most likely a loss of vacuum that's making the fuel pump work harder, since it was still pumping and didn't have the gas cap to form a seal from. Keep us updated.

if I was having fun on the turnpike and I pull into a truck stop I'll leave the car running while I fill up, just like I did today. no big deal, it's not gonna do any harm to your engine or the environment, lol. But 80% of the time I just drive normal for a few miles before I need to get gas and shut the car off at the pump.
