side of my car went thru a bush

yes i know im stupid... anyways, theres some minor scratches ALOT on the side of my car. if youre about 10ft away, its hardly noticable to see the scratches, but when youre near, youll see them... theres alot.. i wasnt just paying attention.. its more on the front door, and the rear fender, a little on the rear door

anyhow, what will be the best way to repair this? im planning to wash/polish/wax the car tomorrow, and i wanna make sure that polishing it wont damage the paint, having in mind that it has scratches...

should i have it repainted? will it be worth it? or is there a kind of chemical that will give it color back, or at least wont make it that noticable.. thanks!

Will they buff out? or are they through the paint?

Wrong type of bush...

Anyway, if its just in the clearcoat (if its minor it probably is) shouldn't a wax/polishing compound take most of it out. Follow that up with a few coats of wax w/o polishing compound, something like NXT Tech or Eagle One.

Just buff it out unless the scrathes are deep they should buff out,it probly isnt worth getting the car repainted, unless ur oc like me and need everything to be perfect, but try buffing the car they should come out.

do u mean buff it out by waxing it? the thing i already washed the car with soap and water, well specifically the side that went thru a bush... there was a lot of scratch marks that came off by my surprise, but i washed and scrubbed the side and there are some mark that cannot come off..

im talking about marks that you can see when youre super near the car... or when the car was still wet, you can hardly notice and scratches...

is it bad to polish it? so i should just use wax without polishing compound?

If you have never buffed a car, I would suggest taking it to a body shop and having them use an orbital buffer and some 1500 grit compound.

well not buff, but i have waxed my car a couple times... im thinking of manually waxing it.. shouldnt it almost like taking it to a body shop to buff it out? the scratches cannot be removed when i wash it however.,

an orbital buffer provides speed that your hand can not replicate. That speed is what you need. Take your fingernail lightly across the bad scratches. If your nail hangs in a groove, chances are it won't buff out.

hehe, i just waxed it a while ago.. using my hands... hehe... anyhow, yes, i do have scratches that my fingernail gets stuck on... they are deep.. there are some that go thru, however are visible..

anyhow, the update on the wax, it removed alot fo the scratches, but depends on the light, they are still visible.

Bodyshop.
I just nailed the side of my garage. Just brushed it. Took it to the body shop and they used some Industrial rubbing compound and fine sanpaper. Worked perfect. Paint is smooth and no more scratches.
