For those having a hard time comprehending DynoDynamics HP numbers:

257WHP = ~288 - ~295WHP on a Dynojet

A lot of ***** envy in here when it comes to dyno numbers.... "MY NUMBER IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!!! w00t!!!"

Also FWIW, here is a STOCK STI on a DD
http://www.dyno4mance.com/tuning/you...u_STI_04_2.php

Have fun!

Anyway, I got my chance to pass the traffic and went by the slowpoke. The STi was right on my back bumper, so I decide to see if I could pull away...... I stepped on the pedal (I was in sixth) and accelerated away. Lo and behold, that pesky STi did not disappear in my rearview mirror, but stayed right there with me .....
I don't know if he down shifted or if his car was particularly powerful or modified, or whatever. I know my car puts down pretty good power on a DD dyno. Granted, I did not downshift but just hit the pedal from cruising (around 55mph). Still, that doggone STi was just not getting dropped...... I wonder if the results had been different had downshifted.... Oh well, live and learn
You were trying to accelerate away in top gear and he was drafting you...no surprise at all he stayed with you.

between sti and evo, it's always the driver.

stock for stock, our 5 gear tranny helps, since sti's will slow them down a lot.

everytime they shift, i get ahead.
