EVO's are meant to be driven!!!!
my 03 has 6000 miles...but thats b/c most of my time is spent at work and school (full time in both - just graduated)...work and school are both right across the street...
and that 6k miles includes two round trips to atlanta (1200 miles), two round trips to raleigh (800 miles), and various other trips equaling probably 500 miles or so...
so, just from everyday driving, ive only put about 3500 miles on my 03

i dont understand this post...you dont like people that drive their evos? some people have more than one car and some even have it strictly as a weekend car or track car. i think that it is rude that you insult many people on this board by saying that. my evo was a DD and enjoyed it but like nrcooled said, "The Evo is basically a racecar that can be used on the street..." so let people do what they want with their evo. to say you dont like it when people drive their evo is pointless what do you plan to get from this post? a better topic would have been a poll on what people buy the evo for. but thats just me.

The Evo is basically a racecar that can be used on the street and if you don't atleast try it out on the track once you are missing out on a lot
PS - driving fast on the street and taking off ramps quickly doesn't come close to comparing to a day at the track

Street, track (Summit Point, VIR, MIR), and have a blast doing it.
It's just a car. We are car enthusiasts...
Things break. You fix them.
I still can't wipe this grin off my face every time I hit the go pedal on both my cars!
05 Evo VIII - Dec 11, '05 mileage : 10,700 miles
98 M3 - June '02 mileage: 65,200 miles
Just clicked over 36k the other day (since Sept 6 2003).
There goes my non-warranty!
I totally agree though, cars should be driven. I don't understand these people who have commuter vs. weekend vehicles. Why drive a piece when you can drive the dope? Mileage is barely a factor in resale value, for serious. Maybe $2-3k at the end of it all.
