Thumbs up

I have had a yellow top Odessy under the hood for a year w/no problems at all. Theres even smaller brands out there nowdays.
Putting the battery into the trunk requires too much heavy cable and the shorter the cables the better for power and electrical inteference.
I start the car with everything turned off just to save juice for a more powerful kick.
I'd give you some pics but don't know how to post 'em.

The Evo VI RS-2 came with a much smaller battery than the VIII stock - and I never had any problems even during winter.

Of course if you want to power a monster sound system or you listen to it a lot with the engine off then you would be better off with a larger battery. I did run a small subwoofer and that wasn't an issue neither.

The reason i want to run a smaller battery kit is so my upper ic pipe has less bends. But will there really be much of a difference between a pipe thats made to go with the stock battery a pipe thats made to go with the smaller battery?

If its not much of a difference i'll just stay with my normal battery and upgrade it to an Optima i guess.

most pipes will fit except Buschurs that I know of from the top of my head. They are pretty much all the same size and the the bends are the same, your not going to get less bend from a mini battery. Most get the mini batt for weight savings.

talk to some shops, OTHER than buschur (who sells the pipes), and ask them just how much of a difference the upper intercooler pipe makes. pretty close to none.
