Went to the dark side..

Well guys iam going to the dark side. i sold my wrx and in about 2 weeks iam getting my Gunmetal Evo MR. I was just wondering whats the best way to start moding the evo? I know to get a turbo back exhaust ect.. but i know moding a evo is alot different then moding a subaru.

Just wondering what the basic mod path is for the evo.. thanks for you help guys!

Congradulations on your purchase! The way I would go is go to http://www.buschurracing.com/ and look at there stage packages. After you find the package that you like and you order the parts send your ecu out to Al at Dynoflash or Mark at TurboTrix to get your ecu tuned for the mods you just installed. Buscher makes great products and the guys over there are really down to earth! Enjoy the new car!!

Now I've gotta go sell my Evo and buy an STi just because you said that... the light side freaking sucks. I wanna take over the galaxy... Plus... when the TC starts going bad, the Evo sounds kinda like a TIE fighter.
Anyway, regardless of the side welcome welcome!

Welcome to the MR club! I would take it easy modifying the MR.... First of all I'd get a baseline dyno run after the break-in. That's probably the most important thing of all. From my experience, the MR responds very well to a full exhaust and a dyno tuned XEDE. This will prolly get you in the 300 whp (Dynojet dyno). If you want more, get the cams. After that, things get more complicated, expensive and less beneficial for the expense. However, there is tremendous potential in the MR and I'm sure that if you wanna spend lots of bucks and sacrifice driveability and reliability (to say nothing of the warranty), you can probably get up to 500 or more whp...... Good luck

I agree, when I first read the title I instantly thought you were selling your EVO for an STI.
