2006 Corvette or 2006 Evo IX?

I know better than to post this on any Corvette forum (very biased) but you are mostly a "no BS" group and appreciate all cars. Which would you buy if you really didn't need the back seats and the cost between the two was not a problem?

I have my Evo I love it my next car will be a Corvette. I know it's no help but I have always respected Vette owners but I hate seeing 65 yr old men driving them down the freeway. But when I see someone take one out to the track I'm always impressed. It would be a hard to choose. But if I didn't have to have anything the Evo has over the Vette I would have bought the Vette hands down.

Pretty obvious when you say this unless you live somewhere that isn't conducive to 400whp w/RWD. The factors that kept me from a new Vette:

1) Space for family (wife, baby, dog, sports equipment) - Not a problem for you
2) Cost (preferred 35k over 50k+) - Not a problem for you
3) Racing performance (a wash with the vette maybe better in all aspects)
4) Winter (hated my RWD the last 3 winters) - May need to be considered
5) Maintenance cost - Can't imagine the Vette being much more than an Evo

I can't think of a reason to get the Evo over the Vette unless you have an issue with #4, and even then, the stock Advans are useless in the snow.

If money isn't an issue, I would definately get the Vette.

I like the 06 Vette (even test drove one), but I still prefer the Evo over it any day.

Evo hands down. If I had enough money to buy a C6 vette right now, I would still buy an 05 MR. Mod the **** out of it and have a blast. I have driven the new vette. Not my cup of tea

I love Vettes.. And I've also test driven a new one.. Very cool car.. But, I prefer the EVO.. Simply cause I'm into the Import scene.. If I were a domestic V8 guy, I'm sure I'd feel differently..
