!! that being said. there is not a chance in hell a stock s2000 could handle anywhere near that of any EVOLUTION ever made! id like to see the s2000 get a .97 g skidpad and 72 mph swalom. and that is the evo being tested by a magazine! yeah,l sure ive heard stock s2000's hitting a high 13, and its true the mags tested them at 14.2's, but the evos been tested at 13.8, on a ****ty track. an intake and exhaust and a good drive would net 12.8's in the evo. the diff's dont hvae to be replaced hardly ever. still havent ever heard of any 9-10 second s2k's

What is this thread about, if you don't like the way the evo looks don't buy it. Don't base your decision on speed, becuase you can make anything fast. 
I don't think the s2000 can out handle the evo at all, but that has yet to be seen, becuase I have not driven it. All you have done is rag on the evo and protect the s2k. So go to crappy honda and get your s2k. There is like 10 in my town (all old people except one youngster). It is about as limited as the new hummer. I say evo all the way My opinion only. Go buy your sup'd up civic

Joe, there is a video (Japanese "Best Motoring") floating around the internet with a EVO VII matching against the S2K, both driven by professional driver in Japan. That is what most people are refering to.
I don't think anybody is doubting the S2K is a "bad" handling car. However, you have to consider the fact that coming out of the corner, the EVO will have the useful torque to accelerate much quicker while the S2K is still building up the RPM for the VTEC to kick in.
Handling/suspension setting-wise, I would say they're both very good (I rode in an EVO V and S2K before). They are different cars with very different characteristics
