blue evo 8 is right.. when you install aftermarket hid's in your non ssl you you might want to change the 10amp fuses to 20amp. look in your owners manual at the fuses.. the evo's that came with hid's have 20 amp fuses in place of the 10 amp fuses. this is why i changed mine.

i never said he was wrong either, just because you upgrade to HID's DOES NOT mean you HAVE to change the fuse. the only reason to use a HIGHER fuse rating is because the HID unit REQUIRES more current. a lot of HID systems dont need that much current, thats why my NON SSL still uses the OEM 10amp fuse that it came with on my HID setup that I added. the only reason why the SSL does have a 20amp fuse is because the factory HID system probably takes about the same amount of current that you use on your aftermarket HID setup.

again, his HID system consumes 50watts for the bulbs themselves. standard HID's like mine only cosume 35watts at the bulbs. almost twice the current, hence the upgrade fuse rating. you might be able to get away using a 15amp fuse. if you can, thats really "protecting" because your NOT allowing the 20amp current to run through. unless stated w/ your HID system, just upgrading to whatever fuse rating will probably hurt your system. again i bet if you run a 30amp or maybe even an 25amp fuse for a while, you will probably fry your HID unit.

Hmm... I thought about securing it to those but the oil cooler does get really hot and the pump thing on the other side didn't seem to have anything to secure it to.

I ended up mounting it to the metal bracket that runs behind the fender liner with heavy duty zip ties.

I used this kit which uses OEM Denso ballasts and OEM Phillips DOT approved 4300K bulbs. http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-Denso-HID-ki...QQcmdZViewItem

I just installed my 8000k blinglight kit 50W..

The driver side is sometimes shuting off itself when i am driving and then it is coming back alive again... what can be the reason? I just put everything back so i will hate to take everything off again?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
