defi d boost gauge instal question

I just installed my defi d boost gauge following some instructions found here and on lancershop.com. The gauge works but I can get the gauge to light up. I've tried tapping it twice, once at the dimmer switch (green/white) wire and the other time at the cigarete lighter (brown) wire. Both aren't working, I would like to tap the wire in the center console somewhere. Any one have any ideas what I am going wrong or where you tapped your wires. I only had two wires with the gauge, black for ground and white for power source. Thanks for the help

check your ground. i used a spade connecter to ground mine to a bolt and i had the same problem.. all i had to do was tighten the bolt that the black wire was grounded to. if that doesnt work maybe youre tapping is wrong?

cool I'll try that again in a minute, just sucks that I have to take my whole center console apart again and reroute the wires.
