differential oil

how many of you switch the oil out of your differentials? and how often do you do it? is it overrated to do that?

NO, change the t-case oil ATLEAST every 10k. If you drive really hard, i would change it more often than that.

I personally don't agree with 10k. If you drive the car hard I would change the TC oil every 15k, if you're pretty easy on it, then change it out every 30k.

Ok, and for what reason? To save time, money? It costs approx 10 bucks each time, and 15 minutes worth of time.....why not?

You would not be asking this question if you have ever changed your own diff. fluids. All it takes is one took at all the metal shavings on the trash magnet to know that the fluids should be changed regularly.

Yah, he probably pays the dealer 50-60 bucks to do it....so he only does it every 30k

25-30K is too long. No more than 15K if you care about your car.
