If I was flashed, and re-installed my factory cat, will it pass emissions?

 

I dont see why you wouldnt, but what are your mods? I have heard that 272 cams wont pass...

 

Car has lights mods, are just cai, tbe......just wondering because I am due to a smog test next month.

I am not saying that they definatly wont pass because I cant verify this with any factual data. I have simply read on several other threads that they wont...

Anybody with 272's and have gone thru emissions please speak up...

 

why wont they pass? if the comp doesnt throw a mil, then the obd will not pick it up?!?!????

as long as you don't have a check engine light you should pass

 

There is no reason why the flash will not pass emissions as it does not change any emissions related paramters

If anything you will have lower emissions with the flash (I am not aware of any states that test cars on full throttle on and awd dyno)

 

Thanks for clearing this up. Just wanted to know, I know during testing maximum rpm is 2500.....again thanks for all the input. Last question aside from Mathew333 passing emissions with a test pipe, has anyone else here pass witha test pipe on....no camshafts involved. I heard 264 no probs, 272's won't pass.

 

hw often do u guys have to get inspected? My next visit is 2009!!!
