If someone go and run that time on 93 pump gas with no weight reduction, etc which makes it truly a stock car then there's a high chance I'm trading in my 03 for an 06. Just imagine what a little mod would do. This = 05+mod = to 03 + mods.

Post a time slip and end the discussion. The proof is in the pudding.

Sure it is! Stock wheels, stock tires, stock air filter, stock, stock, stock. Gas doesn't make a car "non-stock." If that were the case, no car would be stock, and we could list "Sunoco 94" as a "mod."

Nah, 100oct is considered race gas and therefore the car was not stock. He just needs to duplicate the et/mph on 93oct (or 94).

Well i can assure you that it is true. My best friend just picked up his 9 about 2 weeks ago. After 1000 miles we decided to take it to the track to see what it can do. His fastest time was a 13.2@ 104. This was his first time at the track with an awd car. So with that in mind he turned the keys over to me. After a couple passes in the low low 13's. I managed to rip a 12.89 @ 107. This was with a 1.7 60 foot. I am no pro driver...i will tell you that much. So with all the argueing about the times on the stock evo. Here is proof. Oh yea and for the few people who still dont believe me. I will be posting the time slips here as soon as i get then scanned.
i don't care about the slip, i want to see the car. in have 2 friends working at 2 different dealer lots & both say they don't know when the 9's are or even coming to AZ. unless your buddy bought it in another state...

this is rediculous.

i can't believe some of you are comparing using race gas on a modified car, to using race gas on a 100% stock car. gas is gas, no mechanical modifications were made on the car...

Gas is gas, 100 octane is hardly race gas for one...and it is definetly NOT a modification...an alky kit is a mod, adding higher octane gas is not. you can buy the $hit at a gas station in almost any city in the US....

its a freaking stock car.

Man people just dont read my posts correctally. This will be the last time i post anything here on this site. THIS IS A IL CAR. HE lives in central IL. Not only was it about 50 outside when we ran. the car did have 100 in it. Oh and yea it does help the hp numbers a little bit. race gas gets a more comlete burn and burns at a lower temp. IF YOU GUYS DONT BELEIVE ME TUFF SH*T.

C'mon now, man. You're really stretching it with this one. The car was BONE STOCK. In fact, most cars probably roll off the dealer lot with that "complementary full tank," and it's normally the cheapest crap your car will run on. It's probably 89 Octane that they dump in Evos.

What you're basically saying is that if the car leaves the factory with Exxon gas in it, and you fill it up with Sunoco, then the car is no longer stock, because it's not the gas it left the factory, or the lot with.

Whether it's 93 octane, 94 octane, or 10000000000 octane, the car is stock. The only difference is the grade of gas. It's still stock geared, stock interiored, stock timing, stock, stock, stock.

here's my experience running race gas on a pump gas map.

tuned my car for pump gas, and finished the pump gas map made 304 whp on DD dyno. Added the race fuel and turned up the boost. Made absolutely no changes to the pump gas map in anticipation for the pump gas, and i actually LOST about 10 whp. Race gas burns slower, if you are too rich with race gas (ie running pump gas map) you will lose power because the combustion is not as instantaneous.

I have a 3 inch exhaust but the cars stock because it came with an exhaust.
I have a K&N panel drop in, but its stock because the car came with a filter.

We could argue this all day and still get no where. 100 octane Gas is not 91-94 octane gas just like a k&N is not just a regular filter. Thats my opinion and I dont think anyones going to be able to persuade me otherwise.

Bottom line, lets see some times for cars running 91-94. I think thats what we would all like to see????

I guess now I should go out and run 12.6 in an Evo IX with 100oct and the downpipe disconnected. After all, it's stock, right? Amazing...
