evo IX beats porsche and audi

I dont care who makes it or how pretty/luxurious or whatever. The Audi is a nice car but the Evo is THE "poor boys Ferrari". So much performance for so the price we paid. If I had 90K to spend on a Porsche, Audi or an Evo, I'll take the Evo and spend the other 60K on another Evo and mods for both.
Dont get me wrong Porsches are great, and I've always been a big fan of em' but the Evo is a steal at $32K+!!

Just a teaser, I qoute: " That the MR 340 also beats the Porsche - by a full second-and with more poise and progression, is further proof that when it comes to the ultimate all out, all wheel drive experience, the Mitsubishi's unique style defines the genre." EVO Mag 02/06.
Well put!!!
Well put!!!
I finally got my hands on this particular Evo magazine, the Feb. '06 issue, at Borders. The article is very well written. I like the part where the writer explains so eloquently why people love the Evolution so much - not for its looks, but for what it can do - granted, he didn't write it like that, but that's the gist of it.
Anyone notice the one pic of the Evolution that shows the driver's and passenger's faces? Look at the passenger's face and tell me what you see. It says clearly that the Evolution is the most fun and the clear winner of the three AWDs and two RWDs tested. Plus, it's the cheapest of the five by far. Maybe he's smiling about that, also, because there is a decent chance that he can afford an Evolution, if not now, maybe in a year or two. It goes to show that you don't always get what you pay for, and that there really is such a thing as value - or a Godsend for the everyday, working man and woman.
I recommend that all performance car people read this article. It's definately a must read.

Those FQ-Models are superb versions of the Evos (and with warranty).
It's a shame that they aren't selling this cars anywhere else but the UK...

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys. But the Evo 9 they used in this test is far superior from a US spec Evo 9. Our equivalent would be more of the Euro spec Evo 300. More or less. We also dont have the yaw controls that they have. So hold your horses, before you start to race a porsche or an audi if your stock and think twice.
Yes, it's a general car magazine in the guise of Road&Track, etc...just much larger, nicer paper, better photography, well, better everything. British car magazines really know how to do things right!
