Criminal speeding ticket. HELP!!!
Yeah, I'm from Phoenix....originally. The 101 isn't a good place to try to ditch the Police. Helicopters are a definite and there really aren't any close hiding spots and there would have been an all out ground assault to track this guy down and get him. I would hope that if I went for it, I'd have really, really pushed it hard and fast and gotten away....but that's a HUGE gamble.
I'd love to give you some good help (because I think speeding without wrecking should never be a criminal offense and there's just way too harsh a legal system for "speeders" when people who have extensive criminal backgrounds are let out of jail for assault, robbery, etc all the damn time). My sister's the assistant DA in Tuscon...so that helps you mmmmmmmm not at all. My dad was a lawyer in Phoenix for 30 years...corporate....so that helps you mmmmmmm not at all. Sorry. Best of luck. I hope you really get it knocked down. Let us know how it all turns out.

Either that or say you had diarrhea. Best way to prove that is to take a crap once the cop walks up to the door.

i'm with this guy
in all seriousness tho, just say you will pay the fine, and you want the points to go away, problem solved. its a win win for both of you, insurance stays cheap, and the court gets the money, congratulations you just paid for a couple of street signs

This would be the only way you could make a deal or get out of it.

The Law Of Radar Calibration
Every state here in the United States requires by law, every law enforcement agency be it local, city, state or federal, to either annually or semi-annually send out every police radar unit in that departments inventory to an independent laboratory for a complete inspection and certification. The purpose of this is quite obvious; we want to be sure that every piece of police radar being used be in proper working order so that mistakes are not made and speeding tickets not issued in error or unjustly.
Best of luck.

try to get a year of probation without having a ticket during that time... if the year goes by and you're cool everything goes away... although i wouldn't bother doing it unless you had other charges in addition to the speeding
man, 165 in a 65...a cop here told me that anything over 20mph over the speed limit was reckless driving(76 in 55) and 40+(96 in 55) was like considered "intent to kill" and would have some hefty fines...truthfully i KNOW i would have kept going to an exit because it would be extremely hard for that cop to find you, or until i saw his lights close-ish behind me...
a friend of mine ran from a cop on backroads here when he had his 94 mustang but they got him, did the hole felony stop thing with guns drawn...he was gettin stopped because he piggy backed through a stop sign. He got a wreckless driving ticket and a ticket for running the stop sign, thats it. He said that he hit about 110 while "trying to get away" in the 45mph zone
how many tickets did the cop give you by the way? Im pretty sure on wreckless driving, and speeding 100+ anything else?

here in cali, they cant give you a reckless based soley on speeding. its a loophole of sorts. they have to be able to prove that it was endangering others as well. now at 150mph, you are dangering everyone, but again, speed alone isnt an indication of being wreckless
I don't think it was a reckless driving ticket. It was a criminal speeding ticket. Also, I don't think he could have run from the cops because he didn't know there was a cop until flashing lights behind him.
Well you said you got arrested so that tells me your out on bail. Depending on your driving record, if this is your first offense, the judge might give you probation depending on his mood that day of court. Otherwise, bend over and say hello to Bubba.
I work for Chase also... Did you not opt for the Legal Plan? I guess not, but good luck... There must be a lawyer that can assist.
