A Bad Vendor Experience!!
i have never had a problem with gruppe-s at all, I have only ordered little things from though. It is possible for s a company to make a couple mistakes. Maybe the sales rep said they were in stock because they were and was beat to the parts by another sales person who may have been there 5 minutes earlier. If you got your money back and they offered to make amends then what is the problem, If you don't want the discount and free test pipe send it my way i can find someone who would appreciate it.

Heres my scenerio for a great vendor:
I had an 04' STI.... Purchased some LE28n from Godspeed Inc a few years back.... then ran into some financial issues a day later (long story).... I offered Dan to think of a restocking fee that was fair.... His response, not needed. Just to come back to him once I got the situation straightened out for future parts.
Guess I have been lucky for the most part. Still have nothing but good things to say about vendors I have dealt with. Now an e-bay scammer....and some individual that tried to pull a scam on me in person. Needless to say, I was a different person back then and was.... let's just say "very influential".

If they refund him (which i'm sure they will) what will your point be? ... that a mistake like this should never be maid...but if it's made throw a BAD VENDOR post up so everyone can see....before you even let them resolve it. ??!?!?!?!!? if that's the case, we should have a seperate forum on here just for that.... but that isn't the case because people understand that mistakes happen, and 99% of the time they are fixed by the vender (especially one like gruppe-s)

I can say i somewhat agree with you, if this would have been a warning, he could have made the vendor anonymous because it could happen with ANY vendor, not just gruppe-s. But what is bothersome to me is the he decided to name them. I'm not saying that it is wrong to name vendors when you have a bad experience or being treated horribly. He could have atleast waited to see what the outcome was, then according to their actions post, or not post. I understand your point of view as well.

Now if groupe doesnt give him back his charges because they are mad at him for making this thread or w/e the reason is then I would go to court and I would go to the BBB and take it as far as he could and then I would offer him my attorney to sue them into the ground. The reason I am so adamant about these things is because I am tired of businesses ripping people off and getting away with it. Not to mention I myself has had some problems with vendors and I will take no more BS!
My god are there any adults left in this forum? There was obviously a billing error. It was not intentional. They felt bad about the error and tried to compensate you with a discount. For some reason you declined, thinking you'd be some sort of whistle-blower. Thanks for the juicy story dude.
Be on the lookout everyone! There is a vendor on the West Coast that intentionally makes billing errors so they can offer the customer a discount on a future order. The bastards!
I've seen some threads in here complaining about vendors that absolutely SHOULD have been posted. The vendor needed to provide some sort of explanation. This is not one of them. I buy all my parts from Gruppe-S and they do all my tuning. They're all good guys and the owner is an honest guy who knows his $hit and bends over backwards to make his customers happy.

About a month ago, I called gruppe-s to place an order for following items; Tanabe downpipe, Helix HFC, Cusco LABs & Shorty Antenna. The sales representative, whom I spoke to, said everything was in stock, ready to be shipped and he was going to send me a confirmation email with shipping information next day. He even told me that I was lucky to get all the items, because those items were low in stock! Then, I waited for 3 days for the confirmation email that he promised me over the phone, still no response from him. So I called gruppe-s to find out what was going on and they told me that except for the HFC, everything else was backordered! At that point, I was really unpleasant with the sales rep's dishonesty about the availability of items and his customer services, so I just canceled the order with them. A week later, I called gruppe-s again to re-order the Helix HFC, since I really wanted to finish off my exhaust components. I received the HFC in about 2 weeks and the HFC was sent with good packaging and looked liked a good product. Guess what happened next??
I just received my credit card statement and found out that Gruppe-s has overcharged me $700 for the items that I canceled (the order) after finding out that items were backordered!!! How could a legitimate business do something like this? What if I didn't go over my credit card statement to match the numbers?
I just called Gruppe-s and they told me that they are going to refund me the money back, but it still bothers me a lot that these guys' business practices are so careless and deceptive. Please be super careful and take extra caution when you guys deal with Gruppe-s! Make sure you go over the credit card statement to match dollar amounts with actual invoices! Thank you for reading.
Sammy
p.s. I was offered a free test pipe or huge discount on next purchases at the cost of not going public with this story, but I decided to forgo the small economic benefit for the sake of this community. (Daniel! I am sorry to put you in a headache, but what you guys have done is simply and plainly wrong and I hope that gruppe-s can learn from this.)

Gruppe-S can be sketchy at times but overall I think they are a good vendor. They made a mistake, admitted it, are fixing it and were willing to even compensate you something. With regards to the billing error, that can be seen as a lack of internal control in their billing department which happens with business like that. I dont think its a big deal.
^ +1..everyone makes misakes and it sounds like this was unintentional. were not perfect. Gruppe-s has been very good to deal with...ya they might lag here and there but they are a pretty busy company. SHi* happens
Gruppe-s is a great business and anything that has happened to u is either by accident or some kind of mistake or something....just let them fix any problems they may have made by accident(I mean they are human)...seriously those guys have done me sooo proper everytime Im there and they are always nice and helpful...Are u nice and helpful??? I stand by Mike W, Tom, Preston, Tommy, and the crew there.....Haters be gone!!

I appreciate you sharing your experience, but I think you are over reacting. My 2 cents.

when it comes to threads like this, i suggest you guys let someone read what you're gonna post before you do... that way it makes sense to other people before you destroy someone's rep because you didn't get "interest" along with a refund... it amazes me that some people want to detroy a company for a mistake (or 2)...
you know the character traits of those that posted in offense to Gruppe-S have closely related traits of those that want everything for free and also those that nickel and dime every other company on earth....
i would stay on top of it just in case they don't give you a refund, but i would in no way go public until an unreasonable time proceeded...
