350 - 400 awhp too much??
My old car (96 mustang cobra) had a fully built motor and a vortech pushing 16psi. The car made right at 500rwhp and 430rwtq. It was completely streetable, and it didn't have the benifit of awd. The reason it wasn't a good daily driver was its insatiable thirst for 93 and it was as loud as a NASCAR under full boost. Now since that car had very different power delivery it may not be a fair to compare it to an evo making simular #'s. But as long as you drove the car with respect it was easy to drive it didn't get crazy unless you wanted it to. I do miss being able to smoke the tires from 0-120 from time to time.
BTW my evo makes 323awhp and while it is pretty quick it is tame in comparison.

.fantastic man! hahahahah i do that, i normally drive my 99 isuzu trooper to work~ when i get home after and take charlize out, man does it feel fantastic!!!!!~ but back to the topic, i think ill aim for an even 400 awhp and then i really think im done!!~ thanks for all your responses!
Damn 5k to spend on a ix. You can get 350 with less than half that. Keep some money for a clutch later.
Go with Buscher/Warrtalon stages and have fun. Do a search and read what has been done and what will be comming out by many vendors soon.
What ever you do make sure you monitor egt/oil pressure/boost/af, also a logging device.
Have fun and don't just listen to the first tuner you see(Visit at least 2 and make a smart decision, after all you have a 30k car. Go with one that has been working on Evo's, DMS for years.Again read and visit, don't rush.
It will be driveable every day.
Just my opinion.

Really, only ~10% driveline loss on the new Z06?

true true thanks, i have been doing lots of research and im still torn on what i want to do to my evo in terms of mods but for my tune ill definatly be going to turbotrix in jersey since they are the closest and also have a good reputation for dsm's and evo's !!~
the power I have is great. I have plenty of torque to get me around town.
when I wanna play I let her loose....
I'm making 380+ WHP and about 410 TQ, and the car sure is quick.... I took out an 06 BMW M5 by 5 carlengths from a 70 MPH roll in 4th gear....
