I just turned 30 and paid for the EVO and all the mods IN CASH!!! No credit card.

If the ideal apporach to affording mods is applying for a bunch of cards and charging up a storm and paying minimum payments is affording it. I'd rather drive a Yugo. one thing I hate is having overhead to think about everymonth and counting my dollars. I like to rest easy at night.
you are right on that couting dollars thing, i think its worse than an addiction, wait it is one

Also the older guys take care of there cars helping the resale value
Exactly. I was born & raised in England and moved to the US when I was 28. I drove a company car from about the age of 21 and simply didn't have anywhere to store an extra car. My friends had Sierra Cosworths, Escort Cosworths, Evos, STis, 6R4s, etc., which I got to drive from time to time. Always loved the Evo the most (the Escort Cosworth was a very close 2nd) and wanted to own one so badly. I've also been a fan of the WRC for as long as I can remember. I didn't exactly grow up with Evos as I was in my 20s by the time they first came on the scene (although the Lancer had already raced in WRC) but I certainly took notice when people started getting them as grey imports.

I'm 28 and I admit that I felt the EVO was a bit young for me.

Hey Guys, I'm 58 and have had the EVO since June of 03. Me and the EVO have gone 73,000 miles so far. Just changed the stock clutch. Had Pruven do some work on it and am currently at around 330 hp. I may not launch to often but once going I do tend to drive it hard. I've been into cars since I was 16 and love the EVO. My plans are to drive it till the engine gets tired and then go with a 2.3 stroker. In response to being too old - when your in the ground then your too old.
