No, the EVO is a "Boy Racer" car. I've just learned to deal with it.

37 and loving this damn thing! I have an 06 IX MR. I drop my two girls off at school everyday and they love it as well. Especially becasue they're in Recaro booster seats in the back

And its also fun gettin' those looks from the other parents of "what are you doing" especially when my girls are laughing and screaming when we hit boost!!

Gotta love this car no matter who you are!

Just joined this forum and been researching - will probably order my IX within the next couple of weeks. I think age has little to do with appreciation of great cars. I've been driving a WRX for years and now need another car, as my teen agers are starting to drive. If I didn't have two college tuition bills expected soon, I'd try to justify a new 911, but, imo, the EVO is the next best thing. Plus it has a real back seat and AWD. Hard to go wrong!

Signed, another greybeard

37 and have just moved from an STi to the EVO (which was the wife's car before now). I have gotten a few snide comments from co-workers about the "Fast and Furious" car. I don't care. I just ask them to get in and give them a ride they will NEVER forget. Most understand after that.

The only reason I'd be embarrassed owning this car is if I didn't track it. Now THAT'S a crime!
