Are aftermarket rims illegal in OH? Is this crap spreading???

I cannot beleive how upset everyone is getting about this stupid video.
I am confident that most everyone here has a job. Most of these jobs probably required some sort of training. A very common way to train a large number of people cheaply and efficiently is with a training video. I know I have had to sit through a number of these with just about every job I have had. Most of these training videos are boring, over-simplified, low-budget, cheezy, and in no way reflect the real world. That is what this video is. It is no different than the videos on sexual harrassment or using the company network that many of us have had to endure. Most cops probably thought that the video was as stupid as you did.

you know some officers (sherrifs, metro police, state police) modify cars too, they knows the ins and outs just as we do. im sure there is a officer that owns a evolution out there, one of my buddies is a state police and he drives a turbo civic si, and another friend is a city policeman and he drives a mopar stage 3 srt 4. they laughed when i told them about this, frankly they said they dont care for the mods, but most of the time drivers with modified cars are caught with drugs, duis, street racing. so its hard for them to ignore, its a easy target. in my old state (AL) they didnt really care to much about mods, only ticket u got was noise ordinance if ur exhaust was ungodly loud. here in oregon, i dont get hassled much about anything, and there is a sherrifs department 2 blocks from my house and a drag strip across the street, so im sure they are used to seeing modded cars go left and right. this vid is very over the top, but its a training video, have u guys seen training videos at retail stores? they are even more goofy and over the top.

Nobody is mad they are using training videos. We are mad because the training involves profiling people as "street racers" because their cars have have stickers. CARB regulations are supposed to help keep the AIR CLEAN and not be used as justification to harrass you as a "street racer". Get it?

EDIT: In case you didn't realize this, you sound like a bunch of pot heads. Blaming the police for arresting them. Nobody is saying the law is right, but its still the law.
Spoken like a good little cop. Think much lately?

I don't get you CA guys. You have the best race tracks in America yet you spend your money on modding up street cars?

Unreal. Get a trailer and an old F150 and run whatever the **** you want for mods on the track.

Dam, I just finish watching the video and that sucked hard. Let me say police are just doing their job, thats what they get paid for. I know if I was a cop I would do the same thing but would give ley-way to my fellow car junkies.

Yeah, Ca sucks hard about these modify laws, and I've expierenced it first hand with friends about 4 times now. Ca cops stop you for loud exhaust, when out here in Palmdale there are a bunch of modified trucks with those monster truck wheels, and they have loud exhaust. Its crazy, they give you fix it tickets like its nothing. But since I have firends in the sheriff, once I get a fix it ticket, thats getting wrote off quick.

FIX IT TICKETS

Lol you STILL can not formulate an argument for the things I'm saying! Your asking me if I thought much lately? I've written like 2 pages worth of stuff. In everything I have written in outlines one basic thing. These laws are wrong, but they are the law. If you don't like the law, change it! Vote, blame the people who are really to blame.

You having trouble reading?

Did you not see where I said it is NOT the police's job to interpret the law? That is the judge's job! So, shouldn't you be asking the judge if he's thought much lately?

When you can come back with a legit argument, instead of a worthless personal attack, go for it. Until then, I'm tired of stooping to your level.

Isn't you whining about cops stereotyping "street racers", while at the same time stereotyping cops as being closed minded and incapable of individual thought kind of hypocritical?

Stereotype? Im having a one on one with two of them. No need to stereotype. Are you one too? I didnt have to add any more than came out of their mouth. BTW welcome to the forum. Enjoy that EVO.

My scion tC was really loud and had "intake work" and was "lower than normal vehicles of the same make" and no cop ever gave me ****. Sure, they followed me once or twice but I never ever did anything stupid in front of them. Maybe it's just the cops in my area that are so lenient? Anyways...the cop in that video is a power hungry *****..

If you are in fact having a "one on one", and directing your comments at an individual (or 2), then I retract my statements of you stereotyping. Your comment struck me as a generalization, just like you were complaining about
