turbo lag till 4K!!

TBE and boost controller will greatly reduce turbo lag in the VIII. I've been told that turbo lag is almost completely reduced or elliminated in the IX, but I'm yet to drive one. I do agree with the other comments pertaining to gear selection. I would recommend driving another Evo before you purchase the one you test drove.

Both the VIII and the IX are violent when the boost comes on. VIII starts to hit about 3450rpms, and my IX starts a tad earlier about 3200rpms.
Full boost well before 4k on both.

what i was trying to say, i felt it lag the most in 1st. 2nd and 3rd were really hard to tell becase i was shifting at red line every gear till 3rd.
