The main difference is that the USDM is missing the AYC system in the rear differential. I hear its a substantial cost to the car.

The turbo on the JDM9 is also different, and tuning. Out of the factory the USDM Evos are detuned down to meet US emessions. If I can I would get a JDM Evo over a USDM.

turbine and shaft is different. It was featured on BMI. There was some issues I dont know if they ressolved it yet, but in Japan the Turbos were falling apart.

Biggest difference is that usdm doesn't have jdm turbo, which has a better and free-er flowing twin scroll design with titanium magnesium turbine shaft and turbine.

That and it's right hand drive.

other than that, i know they got automatic climate control and optional 2 din navigation system. which sucks, we can't get them here.

In addition to the above, JDM IX has different bumper than US, JDM IX has diffuser on the rear bumper.
Also JDM evo has 3 different model, RS GT and GSR. only the GSR has six speed with AYC.
GT model has ACD 5 SPEED, no AYC.

The turbo only comes in one for the variations of a JDM Evo. I think it was the RS.
