The after-ban. Misc ramblings and updates....
Yo fellas I am back from my ban. What a great two weeks it has been. I haven't gotten so much done at the shop since I don't know when. Not spending time here makes me very productive!!
A few things about my ban first.
For those of you that have made comments about how Buschur Racing wouldn't exist without EVOm I just have to say you are WAY OFF. Buschur Racing was around before EVOm and will be around when this site is gone. For those of you that think our business revolves around EVOm I also have to say you are WAY OFF. The fact is the last two weeks our web site www.buschurracing.com has increased traffic drastically as people looking for information simply came there. It has been GREAT. Our online sales doubled from the traffic at our site. This showed me that we should have concentrated more on our own site a long time ago.
Something that I didn't know was possible, I can sleep all night!! Many of you see me posting here at 2am - 5am as I can't sleep. I figured out it isn't that I can't sleep but the drama of argueing is what keeps me from sleeping. I am glad to say that in the last 14 days I only had one sleepless night! That was from a serious case of heartburn after 20 hot wings and too many onions!
I come here because this site is very busy and I love to talk about what we are doing and cars. I found I can do this on our site now without being policed so heavily. The rest of you can do the same.
I also want to let you guys know that I have gotten my last warning. I have to sit back and take any crap you want to give me now. The next time I am slightly out of line I will be banned permanently. Feel free to insult me, treat me like crap, say my parts don't work or anything else you like as I can't do anything about it but hit the "report" button now.
With this new rule that has been sent to me I have to let you all know that I will no longer be contributing any really good stuff here as the good stuff just causes controversy and I honestly can't be involved in any. I will therefore be posting the basics here and beyond that you can visit our site and get the complete details, pictures, dyno sheets, time slips, experiments and such.
With that all said here's what we have been up to for the last 14 days!
We have now designed a new battery kit for the EVO's. This new kit has an integrated plate for mounting the other new part we finished. Our new CDI Coil on Plug ignition system. Wait, back to the tray. This new tray mounts differently than our current/old tray. This allowed us to move the tray back further and now our mini-battery kit can be used with our upper i/c pipe kit AND THE STOCK airbox.
The new CDI. Kick butt. We made the new battery tray to have a place to mount just about anything. One of which is the actual CDI box. We mounted it there so it was out of the way and the power/ground wires could go directly to the battery.
Next up was the V-band turbo back exhaust. Jarrod posted pics of this while I was in my "time out". We are using a V band that has a male and female end. This makes any leaks completely impossible. The entire system is built with the v-band design and is only available as a turbo back.
Our new bullet muffler did the impossible. My RS picked up 6 whp and 10 ft lbs of torque testing it against our BR lightweight muffler. The new internal design is what made it possible. The sound is amazing.
We just purchased a DB meter. We will be testing our exhaust systems and any others that come through our shop for their DB levels. I will be posting listings of the results on our website as we do the tests and such. We will come up with some standard for doing this. Height off the ground, distance from the back and RPM levels to test at. Idle, 2000 and 3000 rpm is what I am thinking now.
We have our turbo kit manifolds done and they are being ceramic coated right now. Anyone waiting on turbo kits, you should be seeing them within 2 weeks.
We just finished a bunch of turbo testing. Tested the 20G style turbos. Robert from Forced Performance flew into Ohio on Monday and we dyno'd the crap out of my RS. The results are astonishing. What we found in the testing is extremely interesting and we now have some great data to move forward with. For now we found out how bad the 6 bladed 20G Mitsu wheel really is when pushed.
We had a huge WRX dyno weekend. Better watch out. 300+ whp on 94 octane on our dyno was VERY common. Going to be some fast WRX's in Ohio this year for the Mitsubishi VS. Subaru race we are holding June 11th and 12th.
The book that is being written about our company and the Mitsubishi 4G63's is coming along quite well. There is a poll on our website asking for opinions for the cover and such. Would like to see some more input. The book should be available through us or any book store by summers end.
Jarrod flew into Glendale Mitsubishi last weekend for their huge car show. Thanks for being so good to Jarrod you California guys!! He had a great time. We released our BR330 there and are currently building a BR350 through them that is being shipped to Thaiti.
We just sold BR350 #12 and #13 through Medina Mitsubishi today. This makes our 20th car since we started about 1 year ago.
That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.
Check out our website for the full deal on the turbo testing and such.
Thanks guys,
David Buschur

It is really funny how by attempting to punish you they actually helped you. At the same time, they are going to decrease thier traffic because now whenever someone thinks you have something controversial to say they will check your site. Good for you, bad for them I guess.
Personally, I like the idea of going to one site to read up one stuff but oh well.

Welcome back David, I've been spending alot more time on your forum since the ban too. And yes, I think I bought some more stuff during the ban as well, but I'm always buying more stuff from you it seems.
Do you have any way to look up how much a customer has spent there? Being on my third evo, I'd be scared to find out what my total is.
