Wingless really is the Sleeper Mode

My next (last?) exteriors mods are a red OEM diamond symbol on the decklid (possibly) and I have already ordered a European OEM "EVOLUTION IX" badge to put back there (after removing the bottom left badges).
Should look good when I'm done, although I think it's already quite nice, if I do say so mice elf.
I took the wing off my 03 the first week I had it...but drove it for 35,000 miles before I had a body shop professionally fill the decklid holes. I drove my new IX to the same body shop (A.Watkins) with 800 miles on the odometer and had them shave the wing. Wingless is the only way for me...
I still wanted to be able to run the big wing when I'm feeling really macho. Oh, and in response to a PM question:
I got the low wing spoiler from Spoiler Depot (Carl:800/588-7005). I chose the low Lancer wing (part no. 11128; $115), but didn't want the center post. Carl hooked me up really well:
They have suppliers who give them ABS wings and ones who give them fiberglass wings. I picked fiberglass because it doesn't sag without the center post. They removed the center post, filled in the holes from the removal, then painted the wing to match my car. The custom work removing the post was only $30, plus their standard painting charge ($80 or so).
I was worried about the holes lining up. but they lined up perfectly, at least on this particular model wing (fiberglass). I don't know about the ABS ones. The only problem was that they routed the brake light wire through the left post instead of the right one, so I drilled a hole in the right spoiler post and fished out the wires there. Otherwise, it was simple plug and play. I think it was a total of $260 or so painted and shipped to me.
My only complaint would be that if you sight across the wing's surface you can see that it has some subtle ripples as the light plays over it; fiberglass parts always seem to have this minor surface irregularity. And the paint match is good, but not perfect. Otherwise, it looks very good.

Cool!
I just watched a "how-to" video in debadging an STi, and they had a great technique for removing the residual glue, which they found by trial and error:
They applied the removal liquid (WD40 or Bug and Tar remover; they recommend using either of them) to the glue, then let it sit for about ten minutes. Then they heated it up with a hair dryer.
It came right off, instantly. That's what I plan to try.
