There is no real tuners at Vividracing. The owners are planing on taking courses to do basic tuning and as far is the dyno operator, Mitch is a dyno operator but does not tune however personally he is a sharp and competent person, at least that is my impression.

Mitch is eager to help and solve issues. As far is Vividracing itself, they have gone thorugh a bunch of project cars issue in renoun tuning magazines, among the cars are one of the first Evos(white) in the USA, also a red WRX, Porsche 998 and a couple of others. Give them sometime and they will have under their salary some good tuners, just watch

Last time I spoke with Ray(at IAperformance last week during Als tuning) Ray told me that he was going to go to Las Vegas to get his car tune by Buschur.

Anyway, I am very very happy for Ray, he called me last night and I called him back but no response.

I can't describe how happy I am for Ray, he is a guy that bends over for you to have your car fix first before he can even fix his own. After all this time having his car runing trashy I am very happy for him to have his car finally done.

Ray, congrats. I will see your car soon. By theway, I am bringing my cars to you soon for some work.

Scott, thanks for the update. David Buschur, congrats on your tuning.

Last but not least, this is a question/clarification, those Dyno numbers were on 100oct right? I know that Ray only runs 100OCT.. just wondering

Carlos
hey Carlos, both Ray and I tried to call you but we couldn't get through, did you change your number? It was a last minute thing for Dave to come down to Phoenix, the original plan was LV. PJ went too to have his Power FC tuned, but the person who tuned it previously(mynes I think) had it password locked and would not give out the password........PJ's pissed!!!!!! Mitch did some adjusting though with the commander, because it was tuned too lean. here are some pics. He put down like 480 something whp before mitch detuned it for safety with the commander.

the gas is 100oct from the pump, but not sure how good it was.........I don't know if I would trust 100oct from the pump and not the barrel. He's thinking about running c16 from now on.

You guys are all a little confused, although I am not sure how. I have been tuning for Vivid for almost a year now. I am not just a "dyno operator" I have been tuning for a while now, not to mention my years of education as mechanical engineer.

4G63V0---- i think that you are a little confused. Our shipping guy does shipping not tuning. I do tuning and not shipping, so you seem to be a little off base.

Thanks for the clarification Mitch. Perhaps my visits at the 3 Vividracing locations in the past years were elapsed by large period of time in which I haven't coincided with you on the Dyno while you were hands on.

Like I said, my bad for the misperception, that would explain that the last few times you guys had the tuners from around the country coming to your shop tuning the cars did not give you the chance to actually perform your duties as a tuner, does it make sense?

Anyway, all my power to you Mitch

Thanks for the update Scott. Yes indeed I changed my number. I will PM you my new number.

Anyway, it gets itchy when I see my friends going through this type of situations.
My best wishes to PJ which is a nice guy .

Mitch,

Thanks for being so understanding. By the way, I am here to request your services. I want to redyno my Evo MR on your dyno. I need to see the differences from the last time on the same dyno.

I will see you very soon.

By the way, do you want me to call Abner instead? Just let me know,
he no longer lives in Tucson. Do you know he bought a white Evo 9 MR and lives in Austin now.

Carlos

That's just a stupid statement. Now I know not all people from NM are stupid, because I met one just the other day that had his car tuned at Vivid and he was rather intelligent. Get your facts straight before you spew crap like that.

to clarify what happened to PJ, the PFC that he is running was bought used from another evo owner that had had it tuned previously at XS Engineering, PFC has a password protection feature to protect ppl from stealing or messing with the tune in the ecu. since XS Engineering had tuned it previously, they would not give out the password to anyone at Vivid on saturday because they didnt want anybody to see their tuning maps, even though mynes had already unsuccessfully tried to retune it.

PJ put down 470hp on vp racing 100 octane, completely untuned...not bad numbers IMHO

that is the most random and uncalled for statement i have ever heard. if the shipping and recieving guy is a good tuner dont give him sh** because he is the shipping and recieving guy.

Agreed, but Mitch doesn't do any shipping and receiving, he did when he first started at Vivid and was marked to be their tuner even then. When they moved to the new building and installed the dyno Mitch was up to bat. He is a certified tuner for several software prgrams, AND understands that different cars and different mods require different tunes. I sat through one of these certification classes with him as well, he knows what he's doing and you'll leave there with a competent car and MORE IMPORTANTLY...one that won't go kaboom. (I've seen some of these so-called "real" tuner's ignition/fuel maps that would destroy a car in very short order)
