XS would NOT. It apparently was tuned by them first on maybe another car and bought used for this car? Not sure, but I made the call to XS as they are friends of mine. They do not give it out to anybody. Now that being said I have no idea what the map looked like and who altered it last.
I think Mitch was led to believe that Mynes tuned it via the Commander. It doesn't really matter at this point other than people getting their panties in a wad about nothing.

BTW, we are open on Saturday from Noon to 5PM.

Dave tunes with Power Excel Software ONLY, Jay tuned with just the commander, to tune with the Power Excel Software u need a password, the password was programmed into the PFC by XS Engineering and XS Engineering does not give out their passwords, so obviously Jay does not have the password to PJ's PFC.
that is what this whole conversation is about

Well, not really. If you read my earlier post again I clarified this. Dave could have easily tuned with the Power Excel, but did not have time to build a new map. He DID NOT need the password for that, but to alter the map that was already in there with Power Excel he would need the password. THAT is what this is all about. He could have tuned the car with Power Excel WITHOUT the password, but chose not to because of time constraints. It's not a big deal, but apparently needs to be clarified since people are stuck on it for some reason. Mynes did not have the password for the particular map because they tuned with the Commander which has also been stated ad nauseum. It's really simple guys. No need to beat this horse any longer.
I suggest at this point that PJ opens a new topic with his own pictures and talk about his dyno numbers, his tuning experiences and gives us some opinions about both tunings.
I just learn a bit more that unless you know all the fact we don't go and blame shops for no reason ZMYEVORICK (Rick) layed out very well for us.
It is clear to me that Mynes had somehow the willingness to provide help or assist PJ but the timing or the communication was not the ideal.
PJ, please open a new topic and lets hear all fresh and new all the aspects of your monster Evo.
Are we getting together this wednsday or what? I need to take some pics of PJ's car and Rays car as well.
Thanks!!
Carlos

Also I would like PJ to bring his MR as well. This town has the most EVO per square mile I have ever seen, I swear, it is ridiculously crowed with Evos everywhere.

Whats up everyone......Well here is how it REALLY went as this is my car. First off, I felt so bad for PJ. This guy has broken his back to get his EVO in shape for this tune. And the Password situation. Personally, i dont think ill spend a dime with XS Engineering. If they cant help a brother out, the brother wont help them out. End of that story. So ime up on the Dyno.......Dave plugs in and then it starts. The facial expressions.....a little mumbling.....looks of puzzlement........then a question...... DB-"are you running 1000cc injectors???" ME- "no-780cc" DB"well it was set to Rochester 1000cc injectors!!" ME- "WTF??" somemore mumbling........more puzzlement........then he shows me the vector graphic fuel map. o.k. so there are a few peaks and valleys.....So he loads in Jarods map and says lets start here. And off we go. This guy can navigate this software like theres no tommarrow. An hour later i got the 418 or 19 dont remember. Honnestly, its a pain to drive
......i cant keep off the rev limiter!!! Dam thing revs sooooo fast. Lifes a ***** i know. This turbo is a perfect turbo for me. there is ZERO surging and ime getting 20PSI in the mid 4's. Peak psi is 25 for this pull. I run Sunoco gt-100. I think the fuel is weak. I just filled up with gt-plus which is 104 and is much better. The only regret i have is i should of had Dave set up my nitrous and boost controll on the AEM. My chances of seeing him again are slim. Ohio is like in another country from AZ. Too far to drive... The moral of this story is that you can have 10G's worth of stuff and be slower than a stock 9. Its all in the tune and the matching of parts. Full-Race setup with a Dave Buschur tune is about as good as it gets............
Thanks Dave.. Ray

Thanks for the response Ray. I am considering to start the purchase of a 100oct 50gallon drum for a few Tucson Evo owners. Not that I am running 100oct but I go to the track once in a while and I hate having to pay $8 plus for a gallon at the track.
I have to go and check out your car Ray. I need to call you today, there is some work I need you to do on my cars. I just changed my number(PM sent)
Are you coming this Wendsday to Sonic?
Carlos
