I am a clean freak. Any after market wiring i run, i make look factory. My alarm, my avn7000, all the wiring is clean and neat.

But since it is fused, it's not quite so bad. And yes, to each their own!

Naw - I figured since it was a switched outlet (the 15a fuse I used), it wouldn't be energized without the key in the "on" position.

thanks! one more question...is the safe? the guy above mentioned a fire hazard...just dont want to take any chances with my brand new IX!

I can't tell you if it's 100% safe - but I ran the same set-up for 4 years on an Acura and had zero problems. If you use the V1 hardwire kit, it is a fused red wire. If you use the fuse, the worst thing that can happen is you need a new fuse, for the most part, IMHO.
