03 Evo diffres from a 04+ how?
Something certainly changed in regards to safety:

As for the HID's....they could be twice as heavy and I wouldn't get rid of them. They own!
All that being said, if I didn't already have an evo I would definately hunt for a new or used 9. Considering the price they are selling at new, it shouldn't be hard to find one for less than $25k slightly used.
03 and 04s had the intercooler sprayer, smaller cupholders and all came standard with HIDS. as for the 05 they came with bigger cup holders, ACD, new colors, HIDS optional. plus a bigger hotside.
