i think you can get into a lot of trouble for taking those things out. It would probably be better to just find out where it is and somehow make it "defective"... like soaking it in water or burning the wires that go to it

it is ridiculous, that in todays society and world they try and to spy on us drivers to see if we are running OUR cars to hard. hopefully someone knows where this thing is and maybe we can remove or make it defective as someone said above.

I dont see how that could be true if the mfg's arent required to tell us they are even in the car.

only if you crash your car, its not like a cop is going to pull you over for a complaint, plug a cable into your odb2, and write you a ticket for doing 160 2 hours prior!

If you don't screw around and cause an accident you have nothing to worry about.

time to start setting the top speed in cars to 70mph (the fastest posted speed i know of in the US).

If you crash cars habitually then yes, you better set your speed to 70. Then again if people are so worried about this in the first place then maybe they shouldn't even be driving
