My JDM evo does have the features as described by Gunzo. Very handy feature.
I also got a sticker on the car saying "Security Alarm" but never got to activate it!

The USDM Evos do have programmable SWS functions. Unfortuantley we don't have the neato folding mirrors.

Our functions are related to:
Timing, action, and auto shut off of the dome light.
Timing, action, and auto shut off of the headlights
Vehicle speed dependant wiper action
Function of horn and lights when using the remote key fob

and a few other features, but nothing that cool. The end of section 54b (I believe its 54B-546) in the manual notes everything that you can change, and the page above it notes how.

Thats what all poor people say.

Cool. I wondered if we had the auto off headlights b/c one day I pulled into a parking garage and noticed my headlights were shining, checked and sure enough my lights were on. But I was only driving for 5 minutes in the sun with no reason to turn them on so the only thing I could think of was either I accidentally turned them on or I left them on the night before I guess it may have been the latter

if u lights are still on after u turn off the car. they will shut off once u open the door. but for that to work the engine has to be off. wont work if ur timer is still counting down. on the other side. if u do leave ur headlights on after u turn off the car, while the timer is still counting down. the headlights will turn off but after about 5 minutes or so. not sure on exact time.

also if u are using ur interior light when the car is off or in accessory/on mode they will turn off as well after a certain amount of time. not sure what the exact time amount is. i found that out when me and a fellow evo owner where installing some stuff. nice feature to make sure u dont kill the battery.

n-e-wayz has anyone found out if the auto windows up and down work yet????

isn't etacs- electronic traction control?- sayc?
anyway, I don't think that the VIII's have the variable setting for the wipers, it's controlled by the front ecu anyway.
as for the programming the remote?, the only thing I remember being able to do is turn horn honk on or off for lock, and unlock, and turning parking light flash on or off for lock or unlock.
