Filled up with regular

I went to get gas yesterday and the moron filled up the car with regular instead of whatever 93 octane fuel they have. I have a stock Evo. Is it that big a deal to use 87 octane gas in the car or would you get some kind of fuel additive to boost the octane?

Get some octane booster, that'll get you squared away for this tank.

Whatever you do stay out of boost until you either run all of the crap gas out or until you put some octane booster in.

I gallon of some 108 will even it all out. That is much more reliable than crappy octane booster.

+1. Although I think in NJ they have attendants that do that stuff for you. Just make sure you watch them put the right stuff in next time.

You'll be fine, there really isn't any need for octane booster or any of that other nonsense. Just make sure you stay out of boost. thats all you really have to do.

And then when you get to half a tank of gas fill it back up with 93. and still stay out of boost. then once you go through that tank completely you will be all set to full boost.

All those octane boosters you buy at autozone really dont add much octane. it might raise it from a 87-89 at most.

Octane boosters are just a bunch of fake gimmicks. Do not use, trust, or depend on these products. Put in a gallon or two of unleaded race gas, or just stay out of boost until you can refill with 93. Or alternatively you can add-on a meth kit, and you should be A-OK! =)
