magnetic drain plug
its not going to help you out, if you have Metal filings in your motor, they get cought in the filter anyway. But metal filings aren't the cause of blowing up a motor, they are a sign of wear. If you have metal filings in you motor that means your rod and/or crank bearings or wearing out. Or you cams coulde be wearing between the Cam caps and Camshaft. OR many other things could be the culprate. But yeah Metal filings in your motor are bad, and useing a magnetic plug to remove doesn't mean you fixed the problem.

yeah, thats bad. Not like your motor is gonna blow up this week but its still bad. In the tranny its gonna happen no mater what, but your motor should have a very tiny amount of filings for the first few oil changes you shouldn't be able to notice them, after that the oil should be sparkling clean of filings. Well no sparkling.
