You, first of all should be the last person to complain about the car! For the price you got it at and what we did for you here, your really ungratefull....to be honest with you, if you have so many complaints why did you trade out of your 2005 GSR to a 2006 SE?

When people mistake my car for a regular lancer or *gasp* a STI

 

it's a drivers car , if you complain about cup holders ,cheap interior,bad painting ,warranty ,SOUND SYSTEM, etc. you absolutly have no idea about the purpose why they made this car .
It's like how could we explain to the blind people ,what is the difference between the green and a pink?

1. Stock Gauges, boring orange on black... I rather have the gauges that were on my 98 VW.
2. Stock temp control, the knobs kinda stick and turn hard after a while.
3. Stock Clutch... why the **** is it so weak?
4. Paint, duh.
5. Squeeking Breaks
6. US vs JDM, why do they put ghetto parts on ours and the JDM ones get a better parts? I.E. Rear bumper.
7. 20G turbo option, wish we had that out of the box.
8. Stock CD player blows, the stock CD player on my wife's lancer works better wtf
9. 2.0, wish they'd step it up a few a few .4l

Although my love for the car more then overpowers the faults I see.. my car is second on my most loved list, right after family.

 

hmmm I this topic is useless, but at the same time .. it reminds me how much i hate my stock gauges, especially the boost gauge (BAR.) ( i dont hate the looks, but i hate the how inaccurate they are, especially the boost)

what do you guys think? shall i just buy the Defi Boost gage and ditch the stock gauge?

Now if I may....

It's not the UV in the clear, it's the clear coat itself.
Just like the rest of the car, the clear is not thick
enough. Mine was clouding first, then started to flake off.

Took it to a painter, he said he could wet sand the clear off,
and re-clear it. Worked for like 3 months, then it started over again !!!
The problem is in the CF at this point. When he wet sanded it, it
did not dry enough befroe re-clearing the wing.

As for my gripes....

1. No CC !!! Your foot gets tired after 300 miles of adjusting the throttle.
Just got back for S.C. 550 miles oneway. Could have really used it.
My 1G Eclipse had CC and it worked even at 115mph!!! Complain all
ya'll want but Kia's have CC. Where can I get CC for $250 in parts?

2. Blue seats in Yellow car. WTF?

3. Truck radio.

4. Peeling Brembos. Not a maintenance problem but a heat problem.
NEVER sprayed ANY cleaner on them.

5. Road noise. Anything over 65mph and you can't hear ya'self think.
As I turn up radio.

6. Horrible gauges.

7. Everyone thinks I customized a yellow Lancer !!!

8. Nobody but Civics want to race me from a DIG !! Because they all NO BETTER !!

9. That DAMN P300 code....Multi. Cyl. misfire..

10. Too easy to mod....thing is an addiction.

But other than that, GREAT CAR. These are just gripes, not a bashing of an otherwise excellent
STREET LEGAL factory built race car. No car is perfect. We just live with the gripes or change
them.

ps: Supra owners complain about not having CUP HOLDERS!!! So I'm happy to have TWO !!!
Uhh... make that 4 !!!!

I dont own a EVO, but I can tell you guys from what ive seen I dont like

1 Euros for sure!

2.Evos look to tall, the headroom just looks kinda weird froma sportscar

3. The interiors looks bland, but I havent owned one, so I dont know if yall get used to it

3. Same color seats on all evos

 

1) Costs too much compared with the original japanese price
2) No automatic windows, but the driver's one (and that only DOWN... WTF???)
3) Paint: look it, dent it.
3) Crappy car stereo, but then, one could argue that with such an engine and an HKS exhaust, who cares about the stereo?
4) Once You've driven it, all other cars become unsatisfactory
5)...

I can't think of anything else.

 

Let's not get it twisted people !!!! I've seen several people say this. The tails
on Evos are NOT Euros !!! They are were first seen on Toyotas. The Supra and Altezza
come to mind. They are JDM baby !!! Hence the oft used name "Altezzas".
