I hate there choice of stock wheels on the 8. Cheep looking.

 

As someone who daily drives their Evo VIII MR...36000 miles in less than 2 years...I have to say: What is with the cheap floormats? I wore out the carpet on the floormat where my right heel rests. Yeah Yeah I wear dress shoes when working but still..my 240sx has 150,000 miles of my heel on the floormat and its fine. Factory MR floormats is ***...Pepboys can provide better.

Love the ride, wish it had less body roll though...

Other problem is the notchy grinding second. Worse when cold but that's old news.

Additional gripe...I wish the clutch was tougher so I don't worry about beating on it. Since its my daily driver I have not abused the clutch like I would prefer to. Having alot less fun since I am not getting the awsome launches that clutch abuse brings.

Oh the 4k insurance kinda sucks too. Due to excessive insurance I don't feel like saving the yearly clutch replacement budget on top of it.

 

1. Paint (too many rock chips)
2. Driver's side seat rubs against middle console (that damn squeaking irrates me)
3. Already use to the power which means I need to mod (BR here I come)
4. Exceptionally fast wear of the stock Advans (replaced with Kumho ASX)
5. Notchy shifting (working on fixing this though)
6. Lack of stock boost gauge (fixed with a Stewart Warner)
7. Lack of fold down rear seat (can't do jack about this)
8. Factory alignment (corrected after buying new tires)
9. Brake dust (hopefully new pads will alleviate this)
10. Last but not least no cruise control (again, can't do jack about this)

 

I don't think I have 10 but:

Rattly/Squeaky Interior.
Crappy Stock Clutch.
Notchy/Rough(to some) Shifting.


Other than that I just hate living in Ohio... salt+Evo=

It doesn't hurt to get the aftermarket ones either!

 

Only thing that I must say I hate on my Evo is the crappy *** factory clutch that they put in.....other then that I love my baby

 

1.) No remote trunk.
2.) No gas cap hanger.
3.) Noisy dashboard.

ok here are the things i would change... but i knew buying this car these are the sacrifices and this doenst bother me enough to make me want to drive anything else...

Poor steering radius
Door panel rattle
Weak Clutch (just an excuse to go AFTERMARKET!)
No cruise control

yah who cares... where else can u get a NEW car in the 30k range that will compare to an EVO? if u want luxury and speed go buy a BMW 335i you can get the nav., heated seats, auto all windows, AND!!! Even a Convertible HARD top too!! just for doubble the cost of ur evo...
