I would like to inform everyone that I passed emissions today with a catless car using the UR testpipe in Illinois. It was probably the funniest moment of my life watching the look the guy give me as he gave me the pass **** becuase my car is loud as hell . Thanks for reading.

Did he look under the car to see if you have a cat?

 

Nope. He gave me a OBD scan with a dirty look on the side.

 

They always look under my car and ask me is that really a catalytic converter. I put the high flow catco on when it comes to that time.

 

The guy thought my resonator was the cat, cuz I passed with flying colors with my testpipe

 

I passed NC emission inspection with the test pipe on, unbelivable.

 

Damn, this is unheard of in cali!
At least i dont have a smog check to take care of for 5 years.

 

will they pass on emissions for a lowered car? im going for an inspection soon just wanted to know.

 

In Cali, he wouldn't have made it past the visual inspection, never mind the tail pipe emmisions test.

 

Depends on your state, check with them, but it usually has to be REALLY low to not pass.

 

That's pretty funny. I have heard of a few dsm guys passing with a test pipe back in the day. If your car is obdII they do not look under your car in illinois. If it is obdI they will.

 

thats good to know.. my emission is coming and i wonder if i should put back the stock cat... and the fine for driving catless is $2000.......

 

My testpipe is setup so that the o2 sensor goes into it at an angle. This eliminates it throwing any codes, specifically CEL. If your CEL light is on you prob won't pass, but I never threw that code with the UR testpipe.
