After leaving my car in the hot sun all day and burning my hand several times, I had a brilliant idea (well, I thought it was) of creating a cover of some sort that you could slip over the shift knob to keep it from heating up in the sun (or freezing in the winter?). Apparently I wasn't the first person to think of it. I did a little research and found 1 website that offers such a product... http://www.ricks2k.com/products/AllL....php#KnobSocks

Now I don't know about you guys, but I think these look kinda stupid, but love the concept. Short of buying a sewing machine and fabbing a lovely floral design cover myself, what could be used that would not look like a piece of leather wrapped with a rubber band? Thoughts?

 

i have several reasons for wearing driving gloves... this is one of them.

 

I think resting a small towel over it does the same thing.

Draw eyes and a mouth on it and it would look like a creepy little s&m mask.

 

I use the bag to my sunglasses.

 

get a golf club driver cover, if you really want to you can get it embroidered on the top

 

I sooo was thinking of the same thing because i have a metal one and man does that thing get hot

 

When my greddy counterweight gets hot, i just put on my weight lifting gloves.
