I don't let anyone drive my Evo except one guy. My brother-in-law is a mechanic and he works on all my cars.. so I let him drive my cars. But no one else.

Voted yes because of my dad. Then again, he's paying for it, so I guess that doesn't count. Otherwise I have to be in the car for it to happen.

I don't have a problem w/ friends or family driving it. If they crash it, oh well, I'll just buy another one. It's not the end of the world.

I let my cousin drive my car to the train station yesterday, on the way he hit a wall. He tried to kill himself by jumping off the bridge by the highway because he thought I was going to kill him. And I told him before he left don't boost drive slow, I guess he dosent understand that the car is not his and on top of all that he does not have insurance.

Well since I dont own it yet but hold the same principal to my current car, I let everyone whom i trust to drive, even romp a bit. My friends are all car guys and all let me romp on their cars so i return the favor, obviously within reason.

alot of protective people! hey whatever floats one's boat. i let my friends drive it whenever they ask...not a big deal...it's fun to see their unsuspecting disbelief at the exceleration...and my car is plain jane stock...EXCEPT this one transmission-destroyer friend who is notorious for power shifting and sending in trannies on his Hondas/Acuras all the time...and you know those trannies can take abuse...so go figure.

If one of my closest buddies wants to drive it or take it somewhere I'll let them. 2 rules to follow, no launches, and you break it, you buy it.

Some of you guys sound way over-protective. If they are a car enthusiast and a decent driver I don't see a problem with you riding shotgun while they take it for a spin. If they are a scary driver, then fine don't let them.

I don't own an Evo, my neighbor who does won't even give me a ride in it. I have a sneaking suspicion that he's worried I'll ask to drive it. I've driven cars worth 10 times as much as his $30k Evo and own a couple nice cars myself. So there you have it, I'm a prospective Evo buyer, but no one will let me test drive their car so I've never driven an Evo. A couple STi owners have let me drive their cars though, maybe I'll buy one of those instead.
